Custom Themes

How do I create a custom theme?

You can create a custom theme by clicking the Themes link. On the following page, click Create a Theme, then choose either a template to start from or a real estate broker theme. Once you’re in the Theme Editor, on the left side of the page you’ll see several tabs. Each tab controls a different section of the flyer. Using the tabs and controls, you can adjust the various design elements of each section of the flyer. You can also preview what your theme will look like in both premium and standard layout as well as in Craigslist using the drop-down menu in the top left corner. Once you are finished, click the Save button. Note: The same sample flyer content is always displayed in the Theme Editor.

How do I apply a custom theme to a flyer?

If you’ve saved a custom theme in your account, you can apply it to a flyer by locating the Choose Theme section of the Flyer Editor and selecting the custom theme you want to use from the list. You can also apply a custom theme by clicking Preview, then choosing the custom theme from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

How do I create a branded header?

You can create a header image using any image editing program, from PhotoShop to Paint or Paintbrush. The dimensions of the header image should be 754 x 82 pixels (or the same aspect ratio). To upload a header image, in the Theme Editor, click the Branded Header tab, then click Custom, then choose the image you want to upload, and click Upload.

I uploaded a custom header to the Theme Editor and saved the theme, but when I preview my flyer, the header doesn't appear. Why?

Only vFlyer business subscribers can use the header images they’ve uploaded in their flyers. vFlyer Personal members can upload header images to the Theme Editor but the header images will not appear in their flyers.

Why is there no background in the box that pops up when I click the More link in the pricing section of my flyer?

This happens when the narrow column background color is not set. To give the More box a background color, open the Theme Editor, click the Narrow tab, select a background color in the Text section, and save the theme. This update will automatically be applied to any flyers that use the theme.
