Printing a flyer

How do I print my flyer?

Once you have published a flyer, you can print a PDF version of it by clicking either the Print Layouts link or the Print Flyer button on the flyer summary page, or the Print link on the Flyers page. On the following page, click the icon for one of the print layouts (see Question 4 for more on this).

For more information on printing a flyer, take a look at our printing tutorial page.

Why is the PDF of my flyer printing on two pages instead of one?

A PDF version of a flyer prints on two pages if there is too much content in the flyer for it to fit on one page. To get a one-page PDF of the flyer, follow these steps:

  • Clone the flyer by clicking the Flyers link and clicking the Clone link below the flyer you are cloning.
  • Open the Editor of the clone.
  • Shorten the description if it goes very far below the main photo (getting it down to 200 characters should be sufficient)
  • Remove some added features and attributes fields if there are any, especially if the labels on them are more than two words long.
  • Uncheck the syndication boxes at the bottom of the Flyer Editor and, when you’re ready, click Publish.
  • On the flyer summary page, click the Print Layouts link.
  • If your flyer still doesn’t fit on one page, try removing another added feature or attribute field and re-publish. Then download the PDF again. Do this until you have a one-page PDF.

Once you’re able to generate a one-page PDF, print however many copies you will need. After that you can either keep the clone in your account for future use or unpublish it by clicking the Unpublish link below the flyer on the Flyers page.

Why are there only three photos on the PDF version of my flyer?

The PDF version of any flyer using a standard theme displays one main photo and three gallery photos because of space constraints in the PDF.

If you’re a business subscriber using a custom theme on your flyer, your PDF will have one or more additional photo gallery pages that include up to 6 photos.

How can I change the layout of my PDF?

If you’re a vFlyer business subscriber using a custom theme on your flyer, you can choose from 5 different PDF layouts. These options are available to you when you click the Print Layouts link or Print Flyer button on the flyer summary page or the Print link on the Flyers page. vFlyer Personal users and business subscribers using a standard theme are limited to the standard PDF layout.

When I click the link to get the PDF version of my flyer, a window pops up that reads, "The file is damaged and could not be repaired." What should I do?

Why doesn't my flyer using the Autumn theme look right in print?

If you plan on printing your flyer, please avoid using Autumn theme. Our engineers are working on a fix to that theme.
